AUTOMATIC ON-LINE TUBE CLEANING

Power
consumed by the centralized Air-conditioning system makes-up
a large portion of the cost of electricity bills in office building
,hotel ,factories and warehouses. This can total to as much as
40%-60% of all electyical bills paid. In central air-conditioning
systems where the cooling of the central condenser unit uses shell
and tubes type heat exchanger and water as the cooling medium; The
formation of scaling , biological fouling and fouling caused by
settling of materials in suspension (mud, slime ,etc.)in these
condenser tubes decreases heat transfer by more than 40% and thus
resulting in increased powder consumption as the chillers tried to
maintain the level of cooling integrity.
FORMATION OF FOULING LEAD TO MAJOR INCONVENIENCES
The open loop circulationg system of cooling towers
, used in most centralized air-conditioning systems in buildings,
is open to pollution from the environment. Extended usage of this
circulationg water deteriorates the ater quality and will lead to
accumulation of fouling deposits in the heat exchanger tubes. The
existence of these fouling deposits will lead to major inconveniences:

Corrosion under deposits shortening tubes life.

Corrosion inside the tube because of settlement of marine organisms
for sea water cooling.

Huge reduction of the heat transfer efficiency of the condenser
will result in increase powder consumption.

Increase in frictional losses through the condenser tubes will resulted
in increase power consumption for the condenser water pumps.
Frequent total-shut down maintenance is therefore
required to restore cooling effiency of the condenser.
